Access to reliable and affordable energy remains a pressing challenge across Africa, with over 600 million people - primarily in Sub-Saharan regions - still living without electricity in 2025, according to the IEA. On 16th May,2025 , ASED pre- conference webinar brought together a dynamic panel of experts, policymakers, innovators, financial leaders and over 600 participants to tackle this critical issue.
The session explored the multifaceted barriers to universal energy access, including infrastructural limitations, policy gaps, and financing hurdles.
